Sweet-and-Spicy Baby Back Ribs - We made this slow cooker recipe on a cool fall day, we left the house in the morning, came home in the afternoon and were delighted with the flavor of the ribs.  It is easy to make and tasted great.

Catfish Creole - Catfish in seasoned tomatoes, vegetables and southern spices served over rice.

Cheesy Chicken -
This recipe is one of Mitzi Perdue's favorite and most requested recipes.  It has turned into one of our favorites as well.  Quick and easy to make and pretty tasty too.

Chinese Barbecued Pork -
We were invited over to friends house for dinner and then were asked to cook.  This is a nice spicy variation on grilled pork.

Chili made with Roast Beef -
Makes beefy chili a cut above the rest With roast beef and two kinds of beans, you've found a chili that will satisfy hearty appetites.

Chicken - Whole, Deep Fried -
This Fried Chicken dish is one you and your friends will love. I'm sure you've heard of or done Deep Fried Turkey. The Deep Fried Chicken cooks in about 20 minutes. The result is a very moist and flavorful chicken. It is easy to make and is great for a get together with friends.

Cuban Tilapia -
A great combination of flavors and spices, blackened tilapia served with black beans and rice. I use the same seasoning with other firm fish like redfish, pompano, tilefish or catfish filets. The blackening seasoning also works well with boneless chicken breasts.

Fish Fillet - Beer Battered - I grew up in the part of the country where Friday Night Fish Fry was a standard fare.  This beer battered fish filet recipe is fantastic.  It goes great with a cold beer or two too.

Roast Goose - Goose, with its distinct flavor, has long been a European Christmas favorite.

Gourmet Chicken Broccoli Alfredo -
Our friend Billy said that anything his mother made with cream of mushroom soup was considered "gourmet". Well, here is a gourmet version of chicken and broccoli Alfredo that is both pretty easy to make and yummy.

Gourmet Chicken & Stuffing Skillet -
Billy would like this one too! Gourmet all the way, flavors of chicken and stuffing, served with a creamy gravy and a topping of cheese. This delicious dish takes just minutes to prepare, perfect for busy cooks.

James Plum Pork Tenderloin (with Plum Sauce, Fresh Green Bean Almondine and Mashed Sweet Potatoes) -
Pork Tenderloin served with a plum sauce.  This meal goes great with fresh green bean almondine, mashed sweet potatoes, crisp lettuce salad.

Lasagna -
Layer upon layer of Italian pasta, meat sauce and cheeses.

Low Country Shrimp Boil -
Here is another good southern recipe with spicy roots in the costal area of the south.

Meatloaf -
OK Pamela here it is. This is a good alternative to your "Lipton Souperior Meatloaf". This recipe is from the good old Betty Crocker book my parents gave me when I went away to college in 1971. James and I have adjusted it for our tastes.

Mexican Lasagna -
Here is a spicy south-of-the-border version of a lasagna.

Orange Marmalade Chicken -
An Old Ivy original, 'nuf said!  Tangy orange marmalade makes a spicy topping o this chicken dish.

Smothered Pork Chops
A delicious rendition of a smothered pork chop that is a mandatory addition to the recipe box of any cook below the Mason-Dixon Line.  We have been making this for years. It really makes its own gravy, and the meat falls off the bone. You don't need a knife to cut these chops. Serve with biscuits or creamy mashed potatoes.

Red Eye Chicken with Gravy -
Red Eye Chicken is a combination of spicy pan fried chicken and a spicy hot gravy that is great over mashed potatoes.

Rosemary Roast Chicken -
Chicken is one of our staples.  Roasting a seasoned chicken in the oven makes the kitchen smell wonderful setting expectations for the fantastic flavors.  We were given a rosemary plant trimmed like a Christmas tree a few years ago.  It now grows in our garden and provides tons of fresh rosemary.

Rotisserie Style Chicken - Outdoors cooking always seems to taste best, especially the slow cooked items that attain the flavor of the grill.  Rotisserie Chicken is no exception.  It is a relatively inexpensive meal to prepare and tastes great.

Seafood Gumbo -
This is a basic gumbo recipe with a lot of added flavor. You can omit the stew meat if you choose or add something in its place. I recommend you serve this recipe over rice, like many other gumbo recipes.

Spinach Lasagna Roll-ups -
Lasagna with a twist!

Ziti Baked with Italian Sausage -
A popular baked Italian casserole dish made with ziti macaroni and sauce. In many recipes, the ziti is first cooked separately while a tomato and cheese sauce is prepared, which may include meat, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and more. The cooked and drained ziti is then combined with the cooked sauce, which may be layered with additional varieties of cheeses, baked in the oven, and served hot.
