Pineapple Upside-
Down cake

Pineapple upside down cake is a wonderful desert that can be enjoyed year round. It can be served by itself or topped with whipped cream or served with ice cream.

Ingredients:

1 box white or yellow cake mix or your own cake recipe
1 20 oz can pineapple chunks, slices or crushed (your preference), drained
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
Pecans (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Melt butter in 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Add brown sugar to butter, spreading evenly over bottom. Arrange pineapple and pecans across brown sugar mix. Note, when cake is finished, you will turn the cake upside down so the design you create with the pecans and pineapple will be on top. Be creative. Carefully pour batter over the pineapple. Bake 40 minutes. When done, immediately invert cake onto serving tray. Leave the baking pan over the cake for several minutes while it cools to ensure it releases from the pan.
