Craisins Nut
Bread Pudding

 

 

This is another summertime favorite with the tangy
flavor or dried cranberries.

INGREDIENTS:

1/3 loaf of French bread
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup cranberry/raisins (craisins)
3 eggs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash salt
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup walnuts


DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 1 1/2 quart oven-proof glass casserole dish. Mix eggs, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and milk together thoroughly. Tear French bread into 1 inch pieces and place in glass casserole bowl. Put nuts and Craisins in bowl and toss with bread. Pour liquid mixture over bread/nut/craisin mix. Dot with butter. Place casserole dish in a 9"X11" pan that has 1" of water. Bake in oven for 70 minutes.

Can be served warm or cool. Can be served with cream or whipped cream.
